Further Information and Care
Japanese Towel Production since 1934
A functional towel is crucial to our everyday routine. A towel needs to comfort us, cocoon us while at the same time being absorbent and fast drying.
Using just natural materials and century - old weaving techniques, our towels are produced by a 5th generation family business since 1934 in Imabari, Japan.
Our towels are renowned for their excellent drying behaviour, absorbency and supersoft touch.
Manufacturing
Our towels are produced with traditional looms and slow weaving techniques. Compared to modern machines which are used for speedy mass production, this method is more time-consuming, but shows better results in absorption capacity, texture softness and drying behavior. Furthermore, the yarn does not get damaged which is a common problem in industrial manufacturing due to the stresses of high speed weaving.
All textiles are woven from cotton and linen. The fibers and towels are cleansed and prewashed with water that rushes from Mt. Ishizuchi with low mineral content. For dyeing processes natural orange oil is being used.
Care Instructions
Machine wash up to 40°C using a gentle detergent and a low spin speed of up to 1200. Consider using a mesh laundry bag to prevent pulling. Wash with similar colors. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners.
After washing, it is best to hang or tumble dry your towel on a low setting.
